What you get

The Retro Rocket Gray Stratosphere, in three points

  1. White wax, blue liquid

White wax in blue liquid, on a silver rocket base with fins. At 14.5 inches it suits a desk, a nightstand or a dorm shelf.

  2. Full flow in 2 to 3 hours

The wax softens, stretches into a column and breaks into blobs. A new lamp can take up to 6 hours on its first run.

  3. Bulb in the box

The 25 W bulb is the light and the heater in one. When it burns out, fit the same wattage.

In use

Set the Retro Rocket Gray Stratosphere on a flat surface out of direct sunlight, in a room of 68 to 75°F, and switch it on. The wax flows after 2 to 3 hours. Switch the lamp off after 10 hours at most and give it 2 to 3 hours to cool before you move it.

Check before you buy

  • Your spot has 4 inches of flat space and 14.5 inches of height, on a desk, a nightstand or a dorm shelf
  • An outlet is within reach of the cord and its on/off switch
  • Small children and pets cannot reach the lamp while it is on: the globe gets hot

Pick another one if

You want motion without a wait. A glitter lamp or a battery mini moves from the first minute.

What buyers say about the Retro Rocket Gray Stratosphere

  • 4.0 out of 5

Great Lava Lamp With One Flaw

This is a great mid-sized lava lamp, but its ornamental legs (to make it look like a space ship) fall off easily when the light is moved.

    Unusable lava lamp

Lamp was cloudy and wax broken up. Followed instructions to repair and no change. Be aware

Questions

Retro Rocket Gray Stratosphere: answers

What makes the Retro Rocket different from a classic lamp?

The base. The Retro Rocket stands on fins like a storybook rocket, and the globe above it is the same 20 oz, 14.5 inch size.
